Mondays is the new born on date in history. Though, technically it went live on Saturday. Now, we only have to get the other five days of the week launched. I thought I would cover the first day of the week with Mondays and the last day of the work week with Fridays.

Saint Patrick's Day (March 17) is a Catholic feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick (386-493), the patron saint of Ireland. It is a national holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the overseas territory of Montserrat and the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and increasingly by many of non-Irish descent. The oldest and largest parade in the world is held in New York City. Parades also take place in Dublin and in most other Irish towns and villages. Other large parades include those in Savannah, Georgia, Manchester, Montreal, and Boston. Large parades also take place in other places throughout Europe and the Americas, as well as Australia and Asia.

As well as being a celebration of Irish culture, Saint Patrick's Day is a Christian festival celebrated in the Catholic Church, the Church of Ireland (among other churches in the Anglican Communion) and some other denominations. The day always falls in the season of Lent and sometimes during Holy Week. In church calendars (though rarely in secular ones) Saint Patrick's Day is moved to the following Monday when it falls on a Sunday. If it falls in Holy Week, it is moved to the second Monday after Easter. It is traditional for those observing a lenten fast to break it for the duration of Saint Patrick's Day.^[1]

In many parts of the U.S., Britain, and Australia, expatriate Irish, those of Irish descent, and ever-growing crowds of people with no Irish connections but who may proclaim themselves "Irish for a day" also celebrate St. Patrick's Day, usually by drinking alcoholic beverages (lager dyed green, Irish beer such as Murphys, Smithwicks, Harp or Guinness, or Irish whiskey, Irish Coffee or Baileys Irish Cream) and by wearing at least one article of green-colored clothing. Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch once proclaimed himself "Ed O'Koch" for the day and is one of the most famous people of non-Irish descent to publicly revel on the holiday.^{[citation needed]}

TGIF is a popular acronym for the phrase Thank God It's Friday (alternatively Thank Goodness It's Friday). Starting in America, it has become a common expression of relief at the end of the work week and anticipation of relaxing or partying over the weekend. The phrase was further popularised by the 1978 movie starring Donna Summer, Thank God It's Friday. The phrase has also become common for advertising and promotional materials. For example:

The restaurant chain TGI Friday's
Cadbury's Crunchie chocolate bar ran a commercial of which the slogan was "Thank Crunchie it's Friday". The commercials were followed by more, most of them connecting Crunchie with Fridays.
The slogan of a programming block on the ABC TV network. See TGIF (ABC).
In the United Kingdom in the late 1990s, maverick television host Chris Evans produced a television program called TFI Friday for Channel 4. Its initials supposedly standing for "Thank Four It's" in reference to the television station. In practice most viewers assumed the 'F' stood for an expletive.

TGI Friday's Restaurant Trademark

In a bit of old news shot from the British, we find that TGI Friday's restaurant attempted to restrict the use of "Thank God It's British," a restaurant services company from the United Kingdom.

TGI Friday's held the viewpoint that because Thank God It's British was a restaurant, there would be confusion between their TGI Friday's US trademark and the British one.

The UK Trademarks Registry found Thank God It's British to be sufficiently different to Thank God It's Friday's to avoid confusion.

TGIF Friday's Website is not a restaurant. We do not serve food. Well, not food that you place in your mouth. We do however, serve creative Internet marketing strategies and Online advertising messages designed to build up a company's Brand on the World Wide Web.

Monster TGI Blog Templates

Massive TGI Friday Website Blog Template

When I first discovered this Blog template by doing a search on Google for, Blogger Templates, my first impression was it was really cool.

Some of the features of this template are that the buttons display the right side bar by passing over the flashing marks or the x marks the spot.

One of the things that I discovered about the template is, on a slow dial up connection it can take a long time for the pictures to load at the TGI Tops of every page. The time to load was similar to sites that use all Flash for their webpages. I have modified the code quite extensively along with customizing some of the pictures. More work needs to be done to squeeze more time off the loading clock. For an example of how long the template takes to load click on this TGI Template. At a 56k dial-up speed it was taking 88 seconds to load.

There are still more features that I want to integrate into this website along with more tweaking of some of the other pages.
